As a fellow collector, I understand the mixed feelings surrounding Funko’s restocking practices. On one hand, restocks provide newer collectors with the opportunity to acquire previously hard-to-find figures at retail prices, making the hobby more accessible. On the other hand, these restocks can diminish the perceived value of certain figures, which can be disheartening for long-time collectors who have invested time and resources into building their collections.
Retailers often restock Funko Pops to maintain sales momentum, cater to new collectors, and manage inventory. While this strategy benefits newcomers, it can lead to an oversaturated market, potentially decreasing the aftermarket value of certain figures. 
The challenge lies in balancing the desires of both new and veteran collectors. Some suggest that Funko could implement limited restocks or introduce new variants of popular figures to satisfy demand without significantly impacting the value of original releases. However, achieving a perfect balance remains complex, and the debate within the collecting community continues. Hopefully, Funko finds a resolution sooner rather than later to appease everyone.
